The great operatic tenor Enrico Caruso stood behind the curtain of the stage he would soon be on. Looking out into the sea of expectant faces, Caruso was suddenly gripped with the worst stage fright of his life.
His chest tightened and his vocal chords seized. Sweat was pouring down his face. He was frozen by the terrifying thought that his career would now be over.
Trembling, Caruso said aloud to himself, “I can’t sing. My career is over. I’m finished.” And he turned to go back to his dressing room.
Caruso turned toward the stage and stood taller.
“Get out of here,” he commanded, addressing the Little Me. “The Big Me wants to sing!”
By the “Big Me” Caruso meant the power and wisdom of his subconscious mind. He started to shout, “Get out, get out. The Big Me is going to sing!” His subconscious mind responded by releasing vital forces, and when the call came to go on stage, Caruso sang to thunderous, glorious applause.
Caruso knew that he has one mind with two spheres, the rational conscious sphere, and the reactive subconscious sphere, which responds to the nature of our thoughts. Because the subconscious mind reacts to the beliefs of the conscious mind, it sends “what has been ordered.” In Caruso’s case, that was fear and panic.
Understanding how both parts of the mind work, Caruso “took charge” and began speaking to his rational conscious mind with authority. “Be still. Be quiet. I’m in charge here. You must obey me. You cannot intrude where you don’t belong.”
Reacting to a subdued conscious mind whose “belief” had quickly shifted from one of fear to one of confidence — the subconscious mind brought Caruso what he needed to regain composure and release the choke-hold of fear.
The subconscious is subject to the conscious mind. That is why it’s called subconscious.
By learning how our conscious and subconscious minds work — and using techniques for reprogramming our beliefs and thoughts — we can make profound changes in our lives that border on miraculous.
In 2010 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. Not many get out of that alive. Using her skills as a hypnotist — her practicing career before I showed her how to become a copywriter — past coaching student Pam Magnuson created a 20-minute self-hypnosis audio for me designed to help me clear the cancer from my body. I used it faithfully for six months.
Since Triple-Negative is not a lump, but more like buckshot, three surgeries could not clear the margins and it was decided that double mastectomy was the only solution.
Two days after the mastectomy, my surgeon walked in and said, “We sliced and diced and there were no signs of cancer in either breast.”
Now how can that be? While I give chemo its due, what a shock that all of the cancer was gone in the short time between surgery #3 and the mastectomy.
That is my miracle with working with the subconscious mind using the skills of a master trainer. I was so impressed that I asked Pam to create a course for you.
It’s called FOCUS SOLUTIONS for Business Success and it’s designed to help you achieve business success by removing any blocks that are either knowingly or unknowingly keeping you back.
I invite you take this phenomenal course — I use it myself and can tell you that it will help you get — and stay — unstuck, give you peace of mind, empower you, and amaze you with its wisdom.

A complete stranger sent me the book, The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, Ph.D., when she heard about my breast cancer. This book had a profound effect on me and is the source of the “Little Me” story. Two years after my double mastectomy I called the woman who sent me that book and told her of my survival. She cried!
