1 sure way to waste months on a dud offer
Skip this test and watch your launch crumble (here's the fix)...
How to make sure your offer tips the scales.

I was watching my 9-year-old and 6-year-old on the playground over the weekend…
And it brought me back to my own playground days.
I was always a big fan of the seesaw.
Mostly cuz it could LAUNCH you off it if done right.
A lot of it depended on which friend I was playing with though.
With my friend Scott, we were about the same size.
But…
When my friend Nick hopped on, who was older and quite a bit bigger…
That seesaw could send me halfway into orbit.
The same thing applies with offers.
Every offer is just a counterweight scale.
One side: What you're asking them to give up
Other side: What you're promising they'll get
If the "give" side is heavier...
You're screwed.
It doesn't matter how clever your copy is...
Or how many Cialdini psychological triggers you use...
The math don't work.
I learned this from a big ol’ flop of a launch early on...
Spent 3 weeks writing copy for a $2,997 course about email marketing.
"Give me $2,997 and I'll teach you email marketing."
Sales were scarce.
Know why?
They could learn email marketing from a $19 book.
The scale was lopsided.
What woulda been better?
“Give me $2,997 and I’ll show you how to make $500-5k sales with emails so simple a 6th grader could write them.”
Now I use this 2-minute test:
Draw a scale.
Left: What am I asking for?
Right: What am I giving?
If the right side ain't OBVIOUSLY heavier...
I don't write copy.
I fix the offer.
So…
Pick your main offer, and noodle on it:
Which side feels heavier for your current offer?
A) Price/Effort
B) Value/Outcome
C) Not sure
