Santa's sleigh shows why most copy fails

Whenever I start writing copy for a new offer…

The first thing I do is figure out the “Rudolph Story.”

I know we’re a little late for Christmas stories heading into February…

But since we still have Christmas lights up to go with the snow here in Minnesota…

I figure it’s worth a quick recap to show how it can help you take copy that falls flat…

… and flip it into words that make people beg to buy.

Most folks miss the real magic in Rudolph's story.

It's not about his famous red nose.

It's his 3-part transformation:

He started as a misfit reindeer who couldn't fit in…

He realized his red nose was actually an ASSET…

That same red nose made him the HERO to guide Santa’s sleigh.

How I imagine Rudolph’s “light bulb” moment…

While I was reviewing some copy for my partners last week...

I realized most copy falls flat because it tries to HIDE what makes them or their offer different.

It’s like putting a lamp shade over Rudolph’s nose!

But you’ll pick up FAR more sales by not trying to fit in.

And this Rudolph copy tip can work ANYWHERE.

"We're smaller than big agencies" becomes "You get direct access to senior copywriters."

"Our software looks basic" becomes "Zero learning curve - start profiting in 3 minutes."

"We only focus on one thing" becomes "Masters of X - not jack-of-all-trades."

Here's a 2-minute fix for any sales message:

Find that "weird" part of your offer...

The thing your competition avoids talking about…

Or maybe something you get a little embarrassed about...

And point it straight at your market's biggest problem.

Ask: "Who NEEDS this exact thing? Or how can this actually HELP solve the problem?"

That's your foggy night… And your red nose just became the solution.
