The #1 way to stand out in a crowded market in 2025
Marketing ideas for marketers who hate boring
The best marketing ideas come from marketers who live it.
That’s what this newsletter delivers.
The Marketing Millennials is a look inside what’s working right now for other marketers. No theory. No fluff. Just real insights and ideas you can actually use—from marketers who’ve been there, done that, and are sharing the playbook.
Every newsletter is written by Daniel Murray, a marketer obsessed with what goes into great marketing. Expect fresh takes, hot topics, and the kind of stuff you’ll want to steal for your next campaign.
Because marketing shouldn’t feel like guesswork. And you shouldn’t have to dig for the good stuff.

Something I noticed about copywriters...
Most are incredibly talented writers.
But they're NOT as talented when it comes to selling themselves.
Most of them are saying the same darn thing when they pitch clients.
"I write email copy that converts!"
"I just helped client X make 123K on their last launch!"
"I’ll write you 20 emails for just $500!"
Nothing wrong with any of that if it’s working for ya.
But…
When clients post one job, they get dozens of pitches that sound exactly the same.
It's like showing up to a costume party where everyone decided to be Spiderman.
Here's what separates the copywriters who are booked solid from the ones refreshing Upwork every 10 minutes...
The struggling ones sell copywriting services.
The thriving ones lead with an RFP (risk-free proposal).
Like: "I'll write you 5 launch emails. If they don't outperform your last launch, you don’t pay me anything. Plus I'll optimize them after the first send based on the data."
Or: "I’ll write a new version of your product page. I take 10% of the additional revenue my copy generates versus your current stuff. No improvement, no fee."
Selling your copy services puts the risk on the client.
The RFP approach puts the risk on you.
When you're confident enough to bet your paycheck on your results...
Clients notice.
You go from being another service provider to being a profit partner.
NOBODY is doing this right now.
So if you’ve got the cojones to back up a test by taking the risk on yourself…
(And you’re smart about how to make it a SMALL risk with zero downside…)
You’ll have all the opportunities you can handle.
The A-List members are learning to position themselves this way…
I broke it all down in one of our recent monthly shindigs (which you can find here if you’re already a member.)
I called it The BIG Opportunity for Copywriters in 2025…
And I’d say it’s even more true today than it was when back then.
If you want it?
You’ll get FULL access to our whole archive of monthly trainings.
Plus…
I was working on some tools in my lab over the weekend…
And I think they’re gonna make A-Listers’ lives a whole lot easier and more lucrative.
More to come on that this week.
In Your Corner,
Jason
